Roads Asset Management

Roads Asset Management Project (RAMP)

The SCOTS Roads Asset Management Project (RAMP) is a nationally significant programme driving improvement in asset management practice and promoting effective maintenance of the Scottish local road network.

Established in 2008, RAMP continues to develop recommended asset management practices to support efficient and effective maintenance of the Scottish local road network and meet the needs and priorities of its members.

Providing practical tools, templates and guidance, the project supports roads practitioners to streamline and enhance their approach to the management of all asset groups from roads to street lighting.

All 32 Scottish local authority members have adopted the RAMP framework, benefitting from access to ongoing practitioner training and consultancy expertise the project provides.
