AtkinsRéalis are inviting volunteers from across the UK to contribute their knowledge and experience to the review of the Code of Practice.
The review of the Code of Practice is a collaborative effort. Just as the previous version was shaped by input from across the sector, the updated Code must reflect a wide range of expertise to ensure it is both technically sound and practical to implement.
To support this, working groups will be formed for each section of the Code:
- Part A – Overarching Principles
- Part B – Highways
- Part C – Structures
- Part D – Lighting
We’re inviting volunteers from across the UK to contribute their knowledge and experience. This includes highway practitioners, industry body representatives, and subject matter experts.
Working group members will:
- Advise on the structure and content of each Part
- Review and propose changes to the existing Code
- Provide feedback on draft materials and supporting resources
- Participate in group briefings and one-to-one sessions with the project team
Each group will be led by a member of the AtkinsRéalis project team, who will:
- Coordinate engagement and feedback
- Draft and refine content
- Ensure consistency across all Parts
- Liaise with the Steering Group for approvals
