Get Involved in Updating the UKRLG Code of Practice

AtkinsRéalis are inviting volunteers from across the UK to contribute their knowledge and experience to the review of the Code of Practice.

The review of the Code of Practice is a collaborative effort. Just as the previous version was shaped by input from across the sector, the updated Code must reflect a wide range of expertise to ensure it is both technically sound and practical to implement.

To support this, working groups will be formed for each section of the Code:

  • Part A – Overarching Principles
  • Part B – Highways
  • Part C – Structures
  • Part D – Lighting

We’re inviting volunteers from across the UK to contribute their knowledge and experience. This includes highway practitioners, industry body representatives, and subject matter experts.

Working group members will:

  • Advise on the structure and content of each Part
  • Review and propose changes to the existing Code
  • Provide feedback on draft materials and supporting resources
  • Participate in group briefings and one-to-one sessions with the project team

Each group will be led by a member of the AtkinsRéalis project team, who will:

  • Coordinate engagement and feedback
  • Draft and refine content
  • Ensure consistency across all Parts
  • Liaise with the Steering Group for approvals
